Stake In The Ground Faith is a ministry to hold the line in our faith, to stand firm, and reverse the decline of practising Christianity across the West. It is encouragement for believers feeling isolated and a wake-up call to the broader Church to adapt, renew and revive now… and having done all, to stand firm (Ephesians 6:13).

About the Ministry

The ministry began as a vision in 2019 by David, who saw a wet blanket being put over the practising Christian church stifling its voice, the confidence of Christians in their faith, undermining their relevance, pressuring believers to conform to worldly values and throttling the gifts of the Holy Spirit across our nation. Churches’ messages were abandoning the Great Commission responsibility and sounding more like self-help TED Talks. Unbelievers, feeling emboldened by their numbers and the peace and prosperity of the Liberal Democracies of the West, were convincing in their assertion that there is no God nor any need for one. With the successive demise of the Liberal Democracies across Europe and the United States, it has become more obvious than for decades that the world is seeking an alternative foundation of peace and security for lives. That is found in Christ, but will today’s Church have the confidence to again believe its own message? It is time to stand.

About David Hammond - Ministry Experience

David is Board Chair of FEBC New Zealand mission agency, where he also contributes worldwide in the development of Good Governance practices and principles across the 23 nations’ independent boards. He and his wife were intercultural ministry trained and former WEC International missionaries to Arab Muslims, and David was on the New Zealand Board of WEC. Locally, he was part of the church planting team of Eastside Baptist, Invercargill, and is daily broadcast across Rhema Media under Faith In The Marketplace. About David Hammond - Professional Experience

David (M.Sc., MBA) is a former Chief Executive of three councils (local government) in New Zealand with 10 years’ experience at that level, managing some $105m in opex and $1.5b asset value. He now leads the consultancy and public sectors practice for Tribe Executive working across a range of confidential advisory to Boards and Chief Executives, the development of KPIs for Chief Executives and performance frameworks, Board Reviews, Chief Executive mentoring, restructures and has led the appointment of some 50 Chief Executives and similar number of Board Members.
